BELIEVE RECEIVE AND KEEP

Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

One of the reason for unanswered prayers is the fact that many Christians pray without even realizing that they have shown no believe in the God they pray to. Believe can work in another dimension, which leads to disappointment. You wouldn’t believe your eyes if what you didn’t ask for begin to happen for you. When you are highly disappointed in someone, it means you have so much faith and trust in that person that has disappointed you. Now the foundation of every believe is trust. Without trust, believe will seem impossible. As you all know, love cannot work without trust, when there is no trust there will be doubt. And you know when the wave of a sea is disturbed; it can even carry anyone away that is on the sea side. Doubt causes misunderstanding between close friends, when one is thinking about how he can hurt his friend, because he thinks his friend who knows his secret will expose him. What do you think will happen between them? This is the reason why, when you ask God for something in prayer, never have doubt but believe it is done. When you doubt, you will seek another alternative, and that alternative won’t be a good one. If you cannot believe in the prayer you’ve prayed, then there is trouble, because by the time you run up and down, and you are fed up, that’s when you hear the case of someone doing ritual for money. I pray your own case will not be like that in Jesus name. Another reason for the unbelief of many Christians is their doubt for the forgiveness of their sins. Many Christians after praying and asking God for forgiveness still doubt if they are really forgiven. Are you one of such people? Romans 10:10 says “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” so if you don’t even believe in salvation, how then can you pray for salvation.

1st John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”

Another reason behind the unbelief of a Christian is that many Christians limit the power of God. When you want to pray do you say to yourself, “I hope God can do this for me”, it shouldn’t be so. You should come boldly before God, with prayers and supplications, Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God”. You need to start believing that all things are possible through Christ Jesus, Matthew 19:26. Another reason is that, many Christians are not patience enough, whenever they ask God for something, they always want God to answer them immediately. But that’s not the case with God, He knows the right season for everything He will release unto us. That’s why there is time for everything in the book of Ecclesiastes 3. And by the time God does not answer them by 12 o’clock, they begin to device other methods of getting what they want. Just in the case of the Children of Israel, in Exodus 32. The Children of Israel saw that Moses is delaying and wanted eagerly to have a fellowship, instead of waiting on the Lord. And you know the rest of their story, if you don’t read Exodus 32. Another person that failed to wait upon the Lord is King Saul. In 1st Samuel 13:8-14. And Samuel said to Saul “thou hast done foolishly” if in any area of your life, you have hasten to take decisions, then you must know that those decisions, don’t end well. And the worst of all is that, God will be far away from that person. I pray God will never be far away from you in Jesus name. 1st Samuel 13:14 “But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee”

Read Exodus 32

God bless you
