FORGET NOT YOUR GOD
Job 8:13 "So are the paths of all who forget God; And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish"
When I was in Secondary school, in the senior school, things didn't go well with me, and I was thinking maybe because I came late to school, or maybe I just need to sit up. But now I understand the reason why things didn't work for me. It got so bad academically, financially, spiritually and in many areas of my life. The only thing that worked for me was, the gang I was walking with in school, which was only to deform the face of the school. But then I used to love the Lord my God, but that love was lost. I forgot the Lord my God. And now I know why things went really bad, but I thank God I am able to figure that out. I always wanted to lean on my own understanding, which was the root of my problem. That's why the Bible says in Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths". I am using myself as an example so that you know that, if you forget the Lord thy God, then you will really pay for it.
Forgetfulness take you back to the things of the past, which you are done with. These things are the things God has saved you from, and just as you have forgotten how God mightily saved you, you will also be forgotten, I pray God will not forget you in Jesus name. In Exodus 32:1, the Children of Israel forgot God, who has brought them out of Egypt, and made a golden idol to worship. Exodus 32:1 "Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him". Be careful, because I saw that one of the reasons many people forget God is that, they think their case has been closed before God, thinking God has forgotten them. The Children of Israel had thought Moses had left them, or rather forgotten them. Be careful, never think God has forgotten you, He will never forget you, that's why in the book of Psalm 37:25 "I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread". So in order for God not to forget you, you must stay righteous and do all He commands. Job never forgot God, and you know the rest how God blessed him. In Job 2:10 "But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips". It is my prayer that God will reveal himself to us all, in a way we will never forget Him.
Read: Exodus 32
God bless you.
