WHO IS YOUR ALLY
April 8, 2013SEEK AN ALLY NOW
Proverbs 15:22 “Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established”
In Deuteronomy 32:30 when one can chase a thousand and two can chase ten thousand, then the power a person has is limited to him/her if that person does not seek to join forces with another power. Before a person can fully manifest his/her power, that person must have a partner or a supporter. Who is your own supporter? Our Lord Jesus Christ knew that He will need the disciples to do His work on earth that is why He has chosen those twelve that went with Him everywhere He goes. And after His death and resurrection, He was able to pass something on to the disciples. The extent of the availability of power a person can use is determined by how many allies he has, you cannot use the power you don’t have. During war, the king that has more allies with other country will be most likely to win a battle. That is why in 2nd Chronicles 18:1 “Jehoshaphat enjoyed great riches and high esteem, and he made an alliance with Ahab of Israel by having his son marry Ahab’s daughter”. Jehoshaphat joined forces with Ahab, and he was called to war alongside with Ahab. The counsel Ahab gave Jehoshaphat, was a bad one, one that led Jehoshaphat to the point of death, but Jehoshaphat had a Mighty Ally, a strong Tower, the Mighty Man in battle, God Almighty, and that Ally saved Jehoshaphat from the mouth of death.
If you want to make alliance with anyone, you must be ready to pay the price; Jehoshaphat paid the price with his son. What are you going to pay your price with? Many have paid their price with a member of their Family and are now swimming in the goodness of their evil doings, those that have already joined forces with demons; I pray in the Mighty name of Jesus, that those alliances will be broken by the blood of Jesus. Making an ally of someone is very dangerous, because from that person, you will get your counsel, and if the counsel if evil, then you are in trouble. When you make alliance with someone, you are making an oath with that person. Hannah made her own alliance with God, by giving back her son Samuel back to God, and that alliance paid for Hannah, as Hannah bore three more sons and two daughters in 1Samuel 2:21 “And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD”. Are you ready to make the Lord God your ally?
In the midst of a battle, you can call on your ally and be sure to get a quick response, how much more when you make God your ally.
Prayer: Father Lord, please come and be my greatest ally, that I may be counselled by You, and have good success when I war against my enemies.
God bless you.
