TAKE HEED
Take Heed
1st Corinthians 10:12 “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall”
We as humans can be very funny, naive and unwise at times. We so much believe in our human strength, and never have a need for any supernatural higher power. But the truth be told, we actually need the supernatural to supersede he natural. If not we will only be dwelling on the little effect of our powers over the natural. Goliath is an example, had he known that wisdom is more profitable than strength even weapons of war, Ecclesiastes 9:16 & 18, he would not have come out to face David in the first place. There is no battle anyone can fight on his own, and expect to win, no not a single battle. You need all your men of war in order to fight a battle. Even when you have your men of war, you need wisdom to plan for your fight. We understand that Proverbs 2:6 says ‘it is God that gives wisdom’ and so you must understand that not only wisdom is from the Lord, but also understanding and knowledge. Now you might want to ask, how do you get wisdom from God? One of the ways is in James 1:5, you ask God, but first you must have the right relationship with God. However in order for you to ask God for wisdom, it means a total surrender, which means you admit that you lack wisdom. It also shows you are ready to humble yourself before Him.
Take heed, if you act before putting God
first, you are on your own. Many of us don’t even ask God before going into a
business deal. God is an Almighty Accountant that knows how you will buy, even
without money, in Isaiah 55:1. You must understand that God is the All Knowing
One. Put Him ahead of your business contract, and watch your business grow.
Many of us evangelize, without putting God first, and that is how many end up
doing forced evangelism, forcing people to give their lives to Christ. In 1st
Samuel 30:8, David did not just go into battle, He first inquired of the Lord,
and did God not give Him victory? God did not just create Eve for Adam; He
knows the importance of having a partner, and not acting alone, Genesis 2:18.
God gave man a helper, and am sure everyone of us need a helper one way or the
other. And my prayer is that God will make you meet your helper in Jesus name. The
helper might not be in physical a man or a woman. The helper can also be the
Holy Spirit, who is to guide us and help us to remain righteous until the end.
The Holy Spirit will also enable you check yourself, and approve of what is
right and wrong in the spiritual realm. My prayer is that the joy of your salvation
will be renewed once again in Jesus name. Many so called Christians still fornicate
and lie and do all sort of evil, yet they still believe they are under the
grace of being called Pastor or Deacon. Romans 8:1 was right when it says “you
cannot continue in sin, and expect grace”. Be warned, take heed, or else face
the consequence. Many Christians think they are strong enough, that even if
their weak point is looking at a woman lustfully, they want to justify
themselves by looking at her and not having any evil intentions. But I tell
you, you are only giving room for the works of the flesh to manifest in your
life little, will you know when that will happen. Watch yourself and be very
vigilant. The earlier you meet your helper, the earlier you get your goals.
