HISTORY (WHERE IT BEGAN)
It all started in the month of June 2012. After some prayers were made and intercession, a new life was created in him (Mr. Femi Oloyede). God that has a purpose for his life started His ministry upon his life. There he started to believe in God, and was a constant student on Faith. His search for faith towards God, drove him to write a series sermon on “Overcomers”. He went on to write several sermons, and even had his own wonderful experience on Faith. As he trusted God and showed a great amount of faith, to ask for the rain to wait for his colleague to enter into the office before the rain continues. And immediately after his colleague got into the office, not more than three seconds, the rain poured down heavily. There after God revisited him again, and in the month of June 2012, He got the name Faith Word, during a quiet time with God as he was studying the Bible. As that was supposed to be the beginning, Femi went back on his promise to God, and as He broke the covenant, he was supposed to pay for it with his life as the covenant demands his life. But God in His infinite mercy, spared him, and kept him for His purpose. He later went on to fast for two full days, without water and food, as atonement for his backsliding. He later got up from his downfall and dusted his shoe sole. As he prepared to go on with the ministry of faith word. He was commonly known as “Man of Bread”. And his best saying usually is in Acts 2:42, on September 24, God spoke to him through his Word, about how He remembers him, as he went on to read Haggai 2:18-19. And there the ministry was restored.
Faith word is a small group in Lagos Nigeria. A site created by a Youth in The Lord that worships in The Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Faith word started out on the 16th of November 2012 On blackberry messenger. it originally was created on September 24, 2012 and the posting to the website started in the month of December 2012.. Later we moved to expand on Facebook. We always drop the Word for today, every morning for them to know the plans of God for their lives. First about 96 people always read the Word. We usually send it out with a Bible passage.
This is a vision, which We are ready to pursue. According to 1st Samuel 30:8 We will pursue this vision, we will overtake our enemies and in the name of Jesus, we will recover all the lost souls to the devil back to the side of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will get to the very less privileged person out there, who have not already known about Christ or who have known and have erred, and preach Christ to them, and we will win them to the side of our Lord Jesus Christ, to prepare them for His coming.

VISION AND GOALS
The Faith Word Group is all about touching lives but mainly about winning souls through different ministries.
It’s about coming together in one Body of Christ, bringing different people of different gift of the Holy Spirit to minister and touch lives, in the process winning souls.
Using the Gifts to change lives is one of our priorities of the Faith Word Group; we are not just about word but also about actions. Faith without works is dead.
In Faith Word we have different sections by which ministrations can be made to save and win souls, and also to touch lives:
1. Evangelism
2. Prayer
3. Hospitality and Welfare
4. Sharing and Teaching the Word of God
5. Raising Evangelists, Powerful men and women of God, and Prayer Champions.
6. Evangelism through Sports, drama, and other means of entertainment
7. Counseling and Christian mentorship
8. Evangelism through Entertainment: in the aspect of Drama, Choreography, and Singing etc.
One of the main purposes is to impact youths in their early days; build them into a vessel that the devil himself will not be able to stand. Imagine what a youth can achieve if he/she being strong in Faith at the age of 10 or 12 or 14 or 16 years old can do when she gets to 30 or even at old age. The time is now for the young men to make impact and for the older ones to teach the younger ones so they don’t make the same mistake as their folks. But on top of everything in Faith Word, soul winning is our number one priority. I want you to know that right from the beginning it’s been about winning souls, and it’s the mission of the Community to win souls. Prepare these souls for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As the days go by, God in His infinite mercy will reveal more of what He wants us to do as one Body in Christ. As the Bible says, “Out of the mouth of babes, He has perfected praises” (Matthew 21:16)
